HRC Utah Supports the National Equality March and Rally

The National Equality March and Rally took place in Washington, DC on 11 October 2009, also celebrated as National Coming Out Day.  The March and Rally drew over 200,000 LGBT people and supporters calling for full Equality now!  The event was funded by small donations and was underwritten by HRC Director Bruce Bastian. Utahans Join Over 300 from HRC to Lobby Congress

HRC Lobby Day - 8 Oct 09 - Michael Fifield, Sean Mehew, Jim Matheson, Stephen Justesen, Matthew Lyon & Jim Dabakis

On 8 October 2009, over 300 volunteers and staff of HRC joined on Capitol Hill as part of the No Excuses campaign to lobby the 111th Congress, including a strong delegation from Utah.  The HRC members appealed to elected officials to co-sponsor and support important pieces of federal legislation.
